How to talk to cold prospects is a problem many network marketers have. This was one of my big problems in my young mlm career. The sight of opening my mouth to a stranger was so scary. I’d rather walk through a fire with gasoline underwear on. Talking to the cold market keeps many people from growing their business to the next level. Not knowing how to start a conversation will hold your business at bay.
The only way to overcome the cold market curse is to be like NIKE and “JUST DO IT”. The more practice you get by approaching people the more comfortable you get and the fear eventually disappears. I am going to share with you the old school way of striking up a conversation with a stranger. Don’t run away from the old methods because they still work. I know a lot of new reps want to run right to social media because they are more comfortable talking to people through social media accounts. If you learn the in person cold marketing prospecting, then social media will be breeze.
Compliment a stranger on something they are wearing or doing
FORM (FAMILY OCCUPATION RECREATION MESSAGE)
Ask if they are open to a side project if it doesn’t interfere with what they already doing, then be in a hurry to leave. Do not stick around to explain.
Those are the main ways I have used to have a better conversation with the cold market and to get people to take a look at what we are doing. Master these three and watch your income change.
